For this project, our client wanted a dedicated home theater that felt like he was at the local commercial theater. Serenity Sound & Cinema began the process with a single inspiration item that the homeowner found online – an amber wall sconce. Colors were chosen to compliment the light fixtures, with the end result being an upper wall painted in wine, and a lower brown suede texture from the Sherwin Williams collection.
A riser with in-step lighting was built in the back of the room to support a raised second row of seating, allowing for viewing from a total of six powered recliners with bass shakers. Viewing was made possible via a 128″ 2.35 Carada fixed screen and ceiling mounted Panasonic LCD projector. All equipment, including a Denon 7.1 surround sound receiver, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony Playstation 3 can be accessed via an in-wall rack mounted system inside of a closet in the adjacent laundry room.
